A breathtaking Long Nile Cruise on the world’s longest rivers, you will discover historical monuments located in an area of almost 1000 km along the Nile banks from Giza to the Nile cataract in the southern part of Egypt—the territory of Aswan city. From the ship’s sun deck, you’ll pass through some of the Nile Valley’s most rural areas where you can see typical Egyptian life pass you by on the banks of the river the parts of the Nile. Felucca is the primary classic Nile sailboats, making for a highly relaxing and delightful way to journey on the river. You sleep on the boat’s deck (mattresses and blankets are delivered, while if you favor something between you and the coverings, you will require a sleep sheet/sleeping bag liner of your own). Please note that the Felucca itself does not have toilets or showers. However, we will enter a private support boat touring near our Felucca.

Local Currency: The official unit of currency in Egypt is the Egyptian pound (EGP)

Electricity: Egypt uses 220V, 50Hz and plugs are two-pronged rounded.

Language: Arabic (in Egyptian dialect) is the official language of Egypt.

The winter months are from October to March and are characterized by cold nights and pleasant days. Summer is from April to September and is characterized by increasing dry heat and dust. It generally rains only in short bursts from the beginning of November until March.

The currency used in Egypt is the Egyptian Pound (EGP).

ATMs are found within main cities in Egypt and generally accept cards on the Visa and Mastercard networks. It is a great idea to travel with both a Visa and Mastercard if possible, as while there is no hard and fast rule, some banks seem to only work with one brand of card. Please note, your bank will charge a fee for overseas withdrawals.

It is advisable to drink bottled water in Egypt.

A breathtaking Long Nile Cruise on the world’s longest rivers, you will discover historical monuments located in an area of almost 1000 km along the Nile banks from Giza to the Nile cataract in the southern part of Egypt—the territory of Aswan city.

The lower parts of the Nile between Cairo and Abydos were closed to Nile cruisers for many years. Still, only a handful of boats and departures run from Cairo to Luxor each year.

 Long Nile cruise is one of a kind Egyptian voyage that offers you an exciting opportunity to be one of the few to see firsthand the impressive picturesque green Nile Valley and the contrasting but colorful desert beyond it.

From the ship’s sun deck, you’ll pass through some of the Nile Valley’s most rural areas where you can see typical Egyptian life pass you by on the banks of the river the parts of the Nile. You will feel the warmth of ancient Egypt, and the beauty of the Nile will bring you inner peace and harmony with nature.

 After getting Luxor, the river becomes much more active, with many travelers worldwide. You will visit the West Bank sites: Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatchepsut Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon as well Luxor and Karnak temple on the east bank. Next, You continue sailing south to your final destination Aswan, before passing Edfu and Komombo temples. In Aswan, more sites to see, including the beautiful Philae island. You’ll have the opportunity to book an optional tour to Abu Simbel temple, which was dismantled and rebuilt when Lake Nasser was flooded.

Detailed Itinerary

With your scheduled flight, arrive in Cairo. Meet and assist your Tour Manager before customs clearance and transfer to Your Hotel Sofitel Gizeira, a five* Luxury hotel on its semi-island on Cairo’s Nile river. Check in over and overnight.

In the morning, you will enjoy breakfast watching the great view of the Cairo Nile River. Next, your guide will take you to Giza’s pyramid plateau, with the worlds-famous tombs of Cheops, Chefren, and mykerinos, as well as sphinx; you will be privileged to watch some of the first fascinating sceneries.

After completion, The Great Egyptian Museum at the Cairo Gate on the Giza Plateau (next to the Pyramids) is the jewel of Egypt’s new crown and one of the largest, most modern, and most famous museums in the world. The Museum will house more than 50,000 artifacts, including all the personal holdings of the Golden King Tutankhamun, all gathered for the first time in one place.

Note: The Great Egyptian Museum is scheduled to open in early 2022; if it is not open alliteratively, you will visit the Egyptian national Museum Afternoon; you will get a chance to see numerous pharaonic eras, including the Tutankhamun exhibition in our Egyptian National Museum trip.

After Breakfast, a guided tour set out for you to explore the ancient sites of the Coptic Cairo, which is the stronghold of Christianity in Egypt. You will visit the Babylon Fortress, the Hanging Church, the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus, and the cave that was the shelter of the Holy Family after they fled to Egypt. Next, you start an exciting trip to citadel hill to enjoy a breathtaking view of Cairo’s old town. This tour also includes a brief time of the magnificent alabaster mosque. Later on, your guide will take you to see historical buildings and parts of the city wall in the renowned Khan el-Khalili bazaar; Check in your Nile Cruise Ship M/S Champollion II. Before Lunch, about 6 pm, you will join a cocktail reception to get acquainted with the management team on the ship and the general manager. Then we will go up to the sundeck to attend the evening dinner and sail the Cairo Nile for two hours and enjoy the luminous Cairo with the sounds of music and folkloric shows. a night you will never forget

After having breakfast early in the morning, your tour guide will take you on a trip to the edge of the desert to visit Beni Hassan rock tombs. Western desert and return to the boat—next Sail to Tell el-Amarna, and overnight.

After breakfast,  you will head to the vast Tell el- Amarna’s excavation site. There you will witness the temple ruins of the Aton cult and some of the high priests and his officials revealingly decorated tombs. Then you will see the graveyard of Tuna el Gebel and the best-preserved border stele of the old Akhenaten city in the Afterward; you shall progress with the fantastic river excursion to Assiut. expected to arrive Assiut about 9 PM

With the first light on the sunrise, your Nile river cruise ship leaves Assiut to Sohag. We expect to arrive at about 1 pm. Then Optional Tour The tour guide offers you an optional tour to two of Egypt’s most notable Coptic Orthodox monasteries, including a visit to the Red and White Monasteries, in the evening walking tour with your tour guide.

After breakfast on the sun deck, your ship will stop at the Al Balyana along the way. From that place, it is only a few kilometers to the Abydos Temple Complex— the important Osiris cult site. The well-preserved Sethos Temple, with the famous list of kings and other unique reliefs, is the first highlight of Upper Egypt. Then, we sail to Nag Hammadi city, cross the bridge, and overnight.

With the first light on the sunrise, your Nile river cruise ship will sail to Qena, from where you set off to visit the Hathor Temple in Dendera. Then, you will return to the boat to continue your journey to Luxor. In the afternoon, there is the massive Karnak Temple with the Sphinx Alley on your program in Luxor.

In the morning, we go to the Theban Necropolis, a necropolis on the west bank of the Nile, opposite Thebes (Luxor). Explore the Valley of the Kings; you will see some of the richly decorated Pharaoh’s tombs from the inside, and then visit the Hatshepsut Temple and the mighty Colossi of Memnon; after dinner, you can take a guided tour of the illuminated Luxor Temple…

Early In the morning, your Nile ship departs Luxor’s residential city and passes through the lock of Esna. You will stop in Edfu along the journey to experience the well-preserved Temple of Horus. Early morning at 7 am, we visit the temple of Sobek and Harris and the museum of Kom Ombo, which is located just in front of the boat. You start the final section of your river trip to Aswan; upon arriving in Aswan, you will visit the  Nasser reservoir’s high dam and the Philae temple. In the afternoon, you start a boat tour between the idyllic Nile islands of Aswan on a classic hatch (motorboat if there is no wind). The Aga Khan mausoleum, the Nilometer, and the venerable hotel old cataract will all be visible at your position.

 Breakfast and Check-out,  Next, you drive to Abu Simbel (approx. 4 hours). As part of a Guided tour (local expert guide in Abu Simbel),  you will visit the impressive rock temples of Abu Simbel, which were saved in their entirety from the floods of the Nasser reservoir.
